Optometrist, Maternity Coverage Sept-Oct 2022 Tues-Sat, $510/day

Oak Optometry is a private optometry practice in a growing area of Valencia, CA. We have been open since June 2020 with the current/only optometrist being the owner Krista Roden. The practice caters particularly to families in the area, so we see many pediatric patients. We don’t bill medical, so therefore mostly do primary care. The schedule is lighter and we typically see 7-12 patients a day. The doctor will be doing their own pretesting (AR, visual field screener, and optos).

We are looking for a candidate that has exceptional communication skills, is reliable, and is able to maintain composure under pressure. We pride ourselves on making personal connections with our patients, providing a thorough eye exam, educating our patients on any eye conditions they may have, and answering any questions. New grads are welcome to apply!

The schedule would be September 2022 - October 2022 Tuesday-Friday 9:45AM-6:45PM (or until 6:00PM if charting is done) and Saturday 8:45AM-5:45PM (or until 5:00PM if charting is done) with a one hour lunch break. You would be a 1099 worker and compensation would be $510 per day.

Candidate requirements:

Doctorate of Optometry

COVID-19 vaccination

Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills

The willingness to assist in other tasks that aid in office efficiency and growth of the practice

The ability to be reliable and responsible due to the small staff size

Ideal Candidate:

Comfortable seeing children of all ages

Interested in private practice
